#سوق_الانتقالات اخر الاخبار -Reports indicate that Eric ten Hag has given his approval for Manchester United to sign Benfica hotshot striker, Goncalo Ramos, this summer. The Portuguese international player, who made a name for himself in last year’s World Cup, has had a good season with both the club and the national team, scoring 27 goals in 43 games. United are expected to be in the market for a new striker this summer, following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November and the loaning of Wout Weghorst as a temporary solution. Ramos, who helped Benfica reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season, has reportedly been valued at just over £35 million by Transfermarkt and is also said to be a target for Real Madrid.
However, it would be a daylight robbery if the 21-year-old player were to move for such a low fee, and Benfica’s valuation of around £88 million seems more realistic. Ramos joins a growing list of strikers linked with a move to Old Trafford this season, including Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Atalanta wonderkid Rasmus Hojgaard, and even United academy product, Axel Tuanzebe.
Ramos’ impressive scoring feats have led to comparisons with former Liverpool and Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez. The Benfica academy graduate made his first appearance for the most decorated club in Portugal at the age of 17 in 2019; he has since played in 95 games in all competitions, scoring 38 goals. However, it was his explosive competitive international debut that made the world sit up and take notice: starting against Ronaldo’s Portugal, Ramos scored a hat-trick as Switzerland was defeated 5-1 in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Other players linked with a move to United include Declan Rice, Jeremy Frempong, and Axel Disasi, who could all bolster the team’s defensive ranks. However, theories such as signing Kylian Mbappe and selling Marcus Rashford to Arsenal are among the more far-fetched suggestions. Despite the lifelong bids from fan-led consortium the Red Knights and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Glazer ownership is not guaranteed to change hands.
