Legendary French player and former Barcelona star Thierry Henry has advised Argentine star Lionel Messi to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Barcelona this summer.

Messi’s next move is a major point of discussion in Paris, with continued speculation over whether he will stay in France this summer. PSG has expressed its desire to keep Messi at Parc des Princes and activate the 12-month renewal option at the club despite Barcelona opening talks with the Argentine.

The rumors have led to frustration among the PSG fans, with boos and jeers directed at Messi during yesterday’s match against Lyon in the French league. Henry was asked for his opinion on the situation as part of his role as an analyst in the game against Lyon, and the former French international claimed that Messi was unfairly targeted.

Henry said in his statements, “It’s embarrassing to hear boos at Parc des Princes stadium. You can’t boo one of the best players in the team, who has scored 13 goals and 13 assists this season. Personally, I would like to see Messi finish his career at Barcelona.”

Henry added, “After that, I don’t know what he will do, because the way he left Barcelona after everything he did… I didn’t really like it. For the love of football, he should go back to Barcelona,” and Messi is expected to wait until the end of the season to make his decision on whether to stay or leave.
