The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has condemned the attack carried out by Israeli forces on players and fans during the final match of the Abu Ammar Cup, which was held between the teams of Markaz Balata and Jabal Al-Mukaber at Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium in Ram on Tuesday, describing this act as unjustified and horrifying.

The AFC calls for an end to violence

The AFC confirmed in a statement posted on its website that Israeli forces used tear gas and rubber bullets, resulting in the suspension of the match. Several players and fans, including children and women, suffered from breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas, and had to be treated on the pitch or transferred to the hospital.

The continental federation called for an end to all forms of violence by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people and reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian Football Association and the entire football community in Palestine.
